Technical Information:
The DAB Jet is a self-priming centrifugal pump with excellent suction capacity even when there are air bubbles and small particles of sand in the water.
Common applications include boosting water throughout systems to increase pressure at outlets such as taps or troughs. Similarly for garden irrigation systems or rainwater harvesting, making them ideal for use in small-scale agriculture and gardening.
The DAB Jet range are fixed speed pumps and should be used in conjunction with a 20 litre pressure vessel, pump controller or basic pressure switch for maximum efficiency.
We recommend fitting the DAB Smart Press Controller which will fit directly on top of the Jet pump and start/stop the pump when the pressure changes. The Smart Press controller has dry-run protection which protects the motor from burning out in the event of no water passing through.
The pump can also be operated with a basic pressure switch. Although this method does not have any form of dry-run protection. For this method we recommend the 1-6 bar Telemecanique pressure switch. Please see here.
A pressurised vessel is recommended regardless of the control method to allow the system to work more efficiently. We recommend the 20 litre horizontal GWS vessel. Please see here.
